The present review deals with a collective monograph “The World Economy in a Period of Great Turmoil” edited by L. Grigoriev, I. Makarov, A. Kurdin. The book investigates complicated and controversial processes taking place in the modern world economy. The authors identify its major persistent trends and formulate, on this basis, forecasts for long-term development. The monograph contains a number of debating points.
