The paper presents analysis of the G8 2007 Summit in Heiligendamm. The overview of the Chair’ s priorities, positions of the parties and the agreed documents leads to a conclusion that the fifth presidency under the Chair of Germany in the history of the institution was one of the most successful, and can be evaluated at A- . The evaluation is done on the methodology designed by Robert D. Putnam and Nicholas Bayne to assess the G7 summits achievements on six criteria: leadership, effectiveness, solidarity, durability, acceptability, consistency. The assessment is done using a grading system from A to E with E being the lowest score.
