TY - JOUR TI - Trade Facilitation: Contribution to Development of the International Trade and the Global Economy (Review of OECD Report “Trade Facilitation and the Global Economy”) T2 - INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS RESEARCH JOURNAL IS - INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS RESEARCH JOURNAL KW - international trade KW - trade facilitation KW - OECD AB - The review covers 2018 OECD report "Trade Facilitation and the Global Economy". It is shown that most countries indeed facilitated their trade in 2015-2017 and developed countries led this progress. Border agencies co-ordination and Single windows launching are the most challenging trade facilitation measures among all countries as both require skilled employees and high levels of trust among border agencies and partner countries. Trade facilitation does not require significant investments, but leads to welfare gains. In the short-run trade facilitation drives growth of production, while efficient resource allocation and growth of wages are achievable over the longer term. Lower income countries are benefitting the most from trade facilitation. AU - Alexander Maltsev AU - Daria Chupina UR - https://iorj.hse.ru/en/2019-14-2/308124880.html PY - 2019 SP - 319-325 VL - 14
