AB  - The presented publication is translation of the first chapter of the CSIS report "Key Players in GlobalHealth: How Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa Are Influencing the Game". A Brazilian policy in global health is discussed in the article. The author analyzes characteristics of the Brazilian policy ininternational development aid and global health, interconnection of national and international health policy.The leading role of Brazil in South-South Initiative, negotiations on Agreement on the Trade-RelatedAspects of Intellectual Property and Framework Convention on Tobacco Control is pointed out in thearticle. Prospects of further Brazil’s participation in international development in the health sector havebeen also analyzed.
