The analysis is based on the results of the monitoring compliance with commitments made by the G20 countries and the European Union. With comparison of the G8 and G20 compliance levels the author assesses the efficiency of both institutions in implementation of the functions of global political and economic governance. In conclusion the author makes the assessment of the risks associated with the G20’s week compliance and G8’s overloading.
